MOUNTAIN VIEW ORCHARDS

Mountain View Orchards is one of many farms that continue a rich history of peach growing in Chilton County, Alabama. With fifty years combined experience growing and marketing orchard fruit, Steve Wilson and Andy Millard manage and operate the farm, applying their skills and knowledge to produce high quality apples, pears and peaches. 

The popular peach has a long history, with the Chinese domesticating the peach before it spread to Western Europe. It was brought to the Americas in the 1500s. Today, many varieties of peaches have been developed by cross-pollination and grafting. The Elberta peach, a popular and well-known variety, is considered to have been developed in the South. 

However the fruit arrived in Chilton County, Mountain View Orchards works hard to make sure they produce high quality fruit you can enjoy, from their family farm to your family’s table.
