FELICIANA'S BEST CREAMERY

Dairy farmers since 1964, the Brian family takes pride in being one of the only remaining dairy farms in Louisiana that milks, pasteurizes and bottles all of their own milk on their farm each day of the year.

After graduating from LSU with a degree in Dairy Science from LSU in 1990, Mike, the eldest of six Brian siblings, came back to the farm and eventually took over for his parents, Vernon and Jeannette.

At the time, the farm was part of a traditional co-op model where they would ship milk off to processing plants for pasteurization, bottling and sales under other brand names. Mike, alongside his wife, Patti, and their children, Brady and Maggie, decided to return the dairy to their roots, downsize the herd and pasteurize and bottle their own milk, enabling them to offer high quality, small batch, old fashioned cream-line milk products to their own community.

The Brians raise their cows on pasture, use low temperature vat pasteurization (which helps beneficial enzymes and bacteria survive the pasteurization process) and don't homogenize their dairy products.
