What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of September 2nd

Place Your Orders Here!

Every week, we get closer to fall crops and more variety in the produce department!

River Queen Greens and Compostella are just a few weeks, or maybe a month at most, away from having salad greens again! And September should bring more varieties of apples, possibly persimmons later in the month, plus the return of cherry tomatoes, radishes and green beans. Then in October, there should be brassicas, cooking greens like kale and collards, fennel, beets, carrots, winter squashes and the beginning of citrus season.

For now, we’re hanging tight with end of summer crops like muscadine grapes and cantaloupe, sweet corn, mushrooms, various peppers, squashes, sweet potatoes and turnips. Tomorrow, we are expecting more Asian pears, frozen blueberries, yellow bell peppers, orange sweet potatoes and possibly slicing cucumbers and zucchini.

We’ve also got lots of pullet eggs on sale, but every week their eggs are getting bigger! We should have some more mediums and larges, as well, though more limited than the pullet eggs.

In addition to fresh mushrooms, reishi chai tea and their reishi elderberry tonic, Family Fungi stocked us with a new Cordyceps tincture last week!

And the Josey’s did a restock, too, so there’s now satsuma jelly and fig preserves that we had been out of and then more of everyone’s favorite flavors of jams, pepper jellies and pickles.

We also have various hummus and baba ganoush options from Nur’s Kitchen and will restock more on Thursday.

There’s limited Southern Maids goat dairy products, with more coming on Wednesday and Feliciana’s Best dairy products will arrive tomorrow by midday as usual.

Fresh pasta was a really big hit last week and we’re down to just a few frozen options now, with more coming tomorrow. Bellegarde will deliver fresh bread and buns on Wednesday and Friday as usual.

Plus there’s plenty of our pastured and grassfed meats and Gulf seafood, fermented veggies and kombucha, coffee beans and ground coffee, cold brew, chai and simple syrups, rice, grits, heirloom grains and stone-milled flours, popcorn, pecan products, oils and vinegars, seasonings and salts, chili oils and hot sauces and lots more.
