More Seafood, Bellegarde is Back, Sale Milk, Eggs, Mushrooms, Broth, Tofu, Hummus & More!

What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of March 31st

Place Your Orders Here!

The most exciting news of the week is that Bellegarde is back to regular deliveries following a hiatus and reorganization. Our delivery days are still Wednesday and Friday, though, so to start the week, we have limited frozen brioche buns, crostini and stone-milled flour and then we’ll get more fresh loaves and frozen pizza dough on Wednesday and again on Friday.

We did a big seafood restock early last week, so we have plenty of shrimp in all sizes, plus soft-shell crabs, frozen oysters, red snapper filets and taco strips, flounder, sheepshead, black drum and more.

We also did a beef and pork restock on cuts we were low on, but a bigger pork restock will happen at the end of the week or beginning of next week (breakfast and Italian bulk sausages and stir fry strips will be back at long last).

We also have Pearl River Pastures whole birds, chicken breasts and livers in stock (note the price drops on the whole birds and breasts), plus we got more broth in three flavors, wings, backs and feet (plus eggs!) from Credo Farms on Friday.

Then we’ll get more eggs from A&A Acres on Wednesday (they had another rainy and slow market on Saturday), along with some of the first chicken cuts of the year from them, too!

There’s also a bunch of tofu restocked on Friday and hummus and pesto restocked on Saturday, lots of strawberries, gourmet mushrooms and some sale gallons and half gallons of whole milk from last week.

Store & Hub Schedule/Hours

We’ve got a fairly normal schedule of our biweekly hubs this week (Bellegarde is moving to the Commissary so we are still determining if we’ll find a new location for our Carrollton Farm Hub or if Irish Channel and Uptown and associated home deliveries are enough!).

  • Uptown on Wednesday, 4-5 pm at the New Orleans Jewish Community Center, 5342 St. Charles Ave. Home deliveries in 70112, 70113, 70115, 70118, 70125 and 70130 beforehand. Deadline to order noon on Wednesday.

Here's the full list breakdown of all our grocery categories:

  • Donations for Mutual Aid: Produce and meat shares available for purchase. We did a dairy drop off to the community fridge in Algiers Point on Saturday since we ordered a bit too much last week.

  • Pastured Eggs: We’ve got Credo’s pasture-raised eggs to start the week, with some of ours waiting in the wings to offer up once those sell out. And then A&A Acres will bring us a bunch more of theirs on Wednesday and we’ll move more of ours to wholesale to try to keep everyone happy!

  • Pastured Dairy: There’s plenty of goat milk, limited cheeses and more of those, plus goat yogurt being restocked shortly. We also have a few gallons and half gallons of Feliciana’s Best whole milk on sale from last week and another delivery coming on Tuesday as usual.

We’re expecting mesclun mix, microgreens and a bunch of herbs from River Queen Greens on Tuesday evening, too.

There’s also lard or skin pieces (for cracklins) and kidneys and tongues. Pork jowls, XL spare ribs, smoked hocks, bones, feet and liver are on sale, too. More ground breakfast and Italian sausages, stir fry, picnic shoulder roasts and more should be restocked late this week or early next week once we get the next round back from the butcher.
