While berries are coming to an end (we have the last of the season’s blackberries currently and may be able to get one more round of blueberries beyond what we have in stock), melons and figs are in their prime, along with cherry, beefsteak and heirloom tomatoes. Peaches are still wonderfully abundant and crazy good, too.

We also got a big restock on Gingerbooch beverages including probiotic lemonade and limeade and their special combination of kombucha and ginger beer in three flavors: Lemon-Ginger, Lime-Ginger and Satsuma-Ginger. We still had a few of their veggie ferments and they did restock their traditional kimchi in both sizes, with more krauts expected soon.

Guidry Organic Farms also sent us more of their delicious pecan butter and glazed pecans and we’re well stocked on their pecan oil in two sizes as well as pecan meal.

Besides tomatoes, there’s tons of beautiful veggies in season including green onions, sweet corn, purple cabbage, several types of eggplant, banana, padron, red sweet and multi colored bell peppers on sale, three types of beets, kohlrabi, three types of radishes, butternut squash, red potatoes, sweet potatoes and garlic.

We kept selling out of milk earlier and earlier in the week, so last week I ordered more than usual, temporarily blanking about Fourth of July and folks being out of town. So we have a few extra gallons from last week on sale. My goof is your gain! And we will get our usual delivery of dairy on Tuesday by early afternoon as usual, plus there’s plenty of fresh goat milk, cheeses, creole cream cheese and yogurt from Southern Maids.

We’re glad to be restocked on ground beef in two sizes, along with Caveman blend ground beef. We will be doing a freezer restock tomorrow to restock other beef cuts, along with chicken and pork. We have a good supply of Gulf seafood at the moment, though we are out of large shrimp. Scroll below for the full breakdown of all of our local groceries available by category.
