What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of December 9th

Place Your Orders Here!

Well, the cold snap finally did take its hit and Two Dog’s supply of warm season veggies have come to an end. But, we do have lots more greens, roots, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and more in stock or on their way to be delivered on Tuesday and Wednesday as usual.

And we did a big overdue grass-fed beef restock on Friday. So ground beef is back in 1 pound or 2 pound packs, along with Caveman ground beef blend, hamburger or slider patties, filets, ribeyes, chuck roasts, shoulder roasts, skirt steaks, eye of round rounds, oxtail, cheeks, liver, tongue and more.

And we also have some fun new small breakfast sausage links — think Jimmy Dean’s style versus the large regular sausage casing.

Josey’s Goods also did a restock last week, so there’s more pickles, fruit and pepper jellies and the return of their garlic sauce. The roselle hibiscus jelly is especially beautiful and unique!

We also have a bunch of tofu, eggs, eggnog and other goat dairy products, citrus and apples, cider, frozen buns and biscuits to bake at home, granola, rice, grits and other heirloom grains, stone-milled flour, coffee, herbal teas, tinctures, salts, seasonings, honey, maple syrup, elderberry syrups and more.

Here's the full list breakdown of all our grocery categories:

  • Donations for Mutual Aid: The top of the storefront includes our mutual aid shares, right now either eggs or produce! Hunter dropped off Swiss chard, mirlitons, eggplant, lemons and tomatoes to the community fridge in Mid-City on Saturday and I am aiming to finally go prep another round of eggs to bring to Grace at the Greenlight tomorrow.

  • Pastured Eggs: Plenty of eggs to start the week and aiming to keep up with demand as best we can, despite the continued decrease in production.

  • Pastured Dairy: There’s more of Southern Maids’ absolutely delicious eggnog! Plus goat milk and various goat cheeses and yogurt. More Feliciana’s Best products will be delivered on Tuesday by midday as usual.

  • Bread & Pasta: We are starting the week with plenty of pizza dough, plus croutons, crostini and frozen slider size brioche buns. On Wednesday and Friday, we’ll get our usual deliveries of fresh bread and buns, too! We have a few frozen pastas currently and will get more fresh pasta tomorrow, too.

  • Local Produce: Finally reaching the limit of how long the warm season produce could survive the recent cold snaps. But it’s still a bountiful time of year with apple cider, citrus and multiple varieties of apples, plus frozen blueberries, roselle hibiscus, radicchio, baby lettuce and mustard blends for salad, green cabbage, broccolini, sprouting cauliflower, hot peppers, turnips, turnips, three varieties of radishes and carrots. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we’re expecting more squashes, sweet potatoes, cauliflower (in multiple colors!), broccoli, romaine lettuce, kale, collards, parsley and garlic chives. And we’ll finally have a bunch more gourmet mushrooms in stock again from Screaming Oaks on Thursday, too.

  • Plant-Based Protein: Plain, black mushroom or lemongrass tofu, plus fried tofu in two flavors.

  • Forest-Raised Pork: New small breakfast links! Plus spare rib racks (on sale), plenty of bacon, pork tenderloin, bone-in or boneless chops, Boston butt or picnic shoulder roasts, jowl, smoked hocks, plain ground pork, breakfast, Italian and chorizo ground sausages, plus Andouille, bratwurst, Cajun, Italian, hot pork and Polish kielbasa links. There’s also lard or skin pieces (for cracklins), bones, trotters, ears, kidney and liver.

  • Grassfed Beef: Big restock, so there’s multiple options in ground beef and pre-made patties, plus filet, ribeye, NY Strips, teres major steaks, top sirloin and sirloin tip, chuck eye, picanha, bavette, Denver, flat iron and skirt steaks, tri tip, shoulder roasts, chuck roasts, eye of round roasts, tenderized round steaks, stew meat, short ribs and riblets/Flanken short ribs, liver, tongue, bones and fat for rendering.

  • Pastured Poultry: Whole birds, chicken breasts, leg quarters, drumsticks, wings, backs and feet from Pearl River Pastures, as well as necks from Mahaffey Farms and livers from Hilltop Poultry. We’ve got some things in the works to try to lower chicken prices in 2025.

  • Gulf Seafood: Soft-shell crabs, red snapper or red grouper filets, taco strips and collars, whole flounder, smoked almaco jack portions, but out of shrimp, aiming to restock this week.

  • Coffee & Tea: Whole beans and ground coffee from Flamjeaux and we have several herbal tea blends from Family Fungi. Aiming for a Church Alley restock this week — down to just Earl Grey simple syrup at the moment.

  • Dips & Condiments: Almost out of Nur’s Kitchen goodies, but restocking on Thursday this week.

  • Pantry: Apple cider vinegar from Scott’s Orchard is back, plus there’s crop to popcorn, plenty of granola and Guidry’s pecan oil (need to restock glazed pecans and pecan butters). Plus there’s dried mushrooms from Family Fungi, two kinds of mushroom seasoning, black garlic salts, chili oil from VEGGI Coop, hot sauce, chili crisp and sambal from Southern Chili Lab, Texas olive oil and balsamic vinegar and Georgia’s Vinaigrette from Church Alley.

  • Sweets: Plenty of honey in both glass jars and squeeze bottles, plus elderberry juice, infused elderberry honey, infused blueberry honey and creamed honey. Plus there’s Wisconsin Maple syrup.
