We hope you had a wonderful and delicious Thanksgiving!
This continues to be a truly outstanding time of year for local food, so whether you’re ready for more decadence or to detox a little before the next round of holiday gatherings and parties, we’ve got you covered.
First off, we have new eggnog from Southern Maids. It’s made with their perfectly creamy goat milk, along with eggs, spices, cane syrup and rum extract — no weird ingredients to be found. And it’s really delicious!
And somehow Two Dog managed to extend some of their tomatoes, eggplant and peppers, so we are getting more tomorrow, along with lots more cooler season produce like heads of cauliflower, as well as sprouting cauliflower bunches, baby salad green blends and radicchio heads, broccoli and broccolini, carrots, cilantro, dill and parsley, fennel, radishes, squashes, mirlitons, sweet potatoes and more.
We did a pork restock last Monday (along with beef bones and stew, but another round of beef including ground beef, filet, ribeyes and other cuts we're out of are coming later this week). There’s a good supply of chicken and seafood, too.
And we have lots of eggs in stock to start the week, plus a few sale half gallons of milk from Feliciana’s Best, with more fresh dairy coming on Tuesday as usual. Then besides the eggnog, there’s all the usual goat cheeses, yogurt and milk from Southern Maids.
There’s also plenty of coffee and teas, rice and grits, stone-milled flour, frozen buns and buttermilk biscuits, granola, seasonings and salts, hot sauce and chili oils, herbal remedies and elderberry syrups, honey, maple syrup and more.
Our hub schedule is slightly shifted around this week to make up for missing last Thursday and Friday’s hubs:
