Celebrating One Year of Mutual Aid Donations

This past week marked one year since we started our mutual aid program, where you, our customers, purchase food for us to drop off at New Orleans Community Fridges.

It has been such a cool thing and we wish we would have started it sooner. Here is a breakdown of all of your donations through March 25th, 2023:

  • 509 produce share donations, totaling $2545

  • 421 dozen egg donations, totaling $2079

  • 227 meat share donations, totaling $1135

  • 18 maple sausage link donations, totaling $180

  • 26 ground pork donations, totaling $162.50

  • 12 broth donations, totaling $102

All of that adds up to $6203.50 in high quality food that we’ve been able to bring to community fridges around New Orleans.
