Buttermilk Biscuits are Back! Plus New Goat Cheese Spread, Granola, Tofu, Mushrooms, Summer Veggies & More!
What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of July 29th
Place Your Orders Here!
First up, we are fully stocked up on buttermilk biscuits to bake at home! Shreveport Biscuit Company biscuits are the loveliest, butteriest nuggets of goodness. They are sold frozen, six to a pack, so you can pop one out to bake in the toaster oven, or you can bake them all at once. They use Louisiana ingredients as much as possible and high quality flour. Right now there's classic buttermilk, red river cheddar, jalapeño and cheese and blueberry, as well as gluten free classic biscuits.
Also from Shreveport, we just got another shipment of Good Granoly, so all eight flavors of granola are back in stock. Personally, fresh yogurt, peaches and the Nutty Coconut granola flavor are a dream combination.
We also just got a new special whipped goat feta spread from Southern Maids called Green Geauxt. It’s their goat feta, blended with a little bit of goat yogurt, along with avocado, lemon, jalapeño and garlic. It’s bright and punchy and smooth all at the same time and really good on tacos (especially fish or shrimp!), as well as slathered on sandwiches or dolloped on rice bowls or salads. They mostly sell out of this at the Baton Rouge Farmer’s Market, so don’t always have it available for wholesale… this isn’t necessarily going to be a regular thing, so get it while you can!
There’s also Southern Maids fresh goat milk, chèvre, creole cream cheese, yogurt and various feta options as usual and Feliciana’s Best cow dairy products are expected to come in by midday on Tuesday as usual.
We also just stocked up on all flavors of tofu, as well as fried tofu and kimchi from VEGGI Farmer’s Coop on Friday, so don’t miss those! There’s a few varieties of Screaming Oaks mushrooms available and more coming on Thursday, too.
Nur’s Kitchen is doing a renovation in their Covington space to add some seating, so what we have for hummus is it for at least two or three weeks until their kitchen is back up and running!
And then we always have our other staples like pastured eggs, grassfed and pastured meats, Gulf seafood, summer veggies, Asian pears and peaches, jams and jellies, pickles and ferments, coffee, cold brew, chai and simple syrups, honey, maple syrup, elderberry tonics and syrups, herbal reishi teas, tinctures and more.

Hunter just did a small produce drop off on Saturday with some eggplant and beans.
