Food Order Store Pick Up or Delivery!

A couple important updates:

  1. Some prices have been adjusted upwards because the credit card surcharge is now embedded in the prices versus added as a separate surcharge. We do not profit from this surcharge, it all goes to the credit card companies.

  2. Submit your order but DO NOT pay your invoice this evening or tomorrow morning. We need to enter the actual weights of the meat/seafood and/or produce you select when we pack your order and will send you a finalized invoice once we do. There's an automated message in the confirmation email of your order that says something about the invoice being due within 30 days and gives instructions on how to log back in and pay the invoice. Just disregard that and wait for the finalized invoice email on Saturday between 10 am-3 pm.

  3. Almost everything is entered by pound weight so if you selected a larger meat items (whole chicken, leg quarters, chuck roast, brisket, etc.), your draft invoice will be much lower than your final. Just yesterday we got an upgrade where we can make the package weights dynamic, but didn’t have time to go through and update every single meat/seafood item yet to do that.

  4. Rather than one long list broken out by category, you can search items or scroll through the various categories (horizontally at the top). In order to have your cart appear in a certain order on your invoice when we pack (versus alphabetical) we put some coding on some items, just disregard any numbers/letters in front of the item.

  5. We are still offering home delivery via Grocery Cat on Saturdays and you still will pay John separately ($15 flat fee, plus optional tip if you feel so inclined). For home delivery, select "Home Delivery via Grocery Cat" in the drop down list of options on Pick Up Locations. Not the most intuitive, but it'll work for now!

  6. This will be an adjustment for customers and staff, but eventually it'll be easier for all of us and it has inventory tracking so you know in real time how much of something is left. If you submit your order of something that someone else beats you to submitting, it will let you know that before you complete your order. So at least you could go back and select another similar item if you wanted.

Open 10-6 Saturday, but your order will likely be ready at 11 am at the earliest. Generally we send all invoices (indicating your order is packed and ready to be picked up) between 11 am and 3 pm, based on when you ordered. We’ll send an email in the morning with an estimated time your order will be ready based on where in the queue you are.

Once you receive your finalized invoice via Local Line on Thursday, pay it online and then come to the store any time after to pick up. We’ll slide your box/bag to you across the table in front of our door. You can also call us — 504-887-4336 — and we will bring it out to your vehicle for you.
