SCOTT'S ORCHARD

Scott’s Orchard is a century old, family owned business that grows 18 different varieties of apples on 100 acres and 20 different varieties of peaches on an additional 50 acres.

Being family owned and operated, they deliver fresh and high quality produce by picking their own fruit and utilizing an intense Integrated Pest Management program, where they use weather models, computer forecasts, and visual observations to target only certain diseases and pests.

Located on a two lane backcountry road, on the stateline between Alabama and Tennessee, Scott’s Orchard is actually the largest apple orchard in Tennessee.

At the beginning of September each year, surrounding counties get ready, because the apples start rolling in, the grading machine cranks up, and the smell of fresh apple cider is in the air. Their grading machine makes sure that only the best apples are packaged for their customers, and their goal is to grow top quality produce so customers keep coming back and new faces turn into familiar faces.
